Actor Song Seung-heon recently attended a Tokyo launch event for a new diamond jewelry series, noting the novelty of a male figure fronting such a campaign and highlighting its theme of gifting to a loved one.

Actor’s Thoughts on the Campaign

Korean actor Song Seung-heon attended the launch event for jewelry brand MJC’s new diamond series ‘DIAMOND FOR YOU’ in Tokyo on the 9th. As the image character for the product, Seung-heon commented,

“It was unusual to have a male figure for a jewelry campaign, but the theme of ‘delivering jewelry to a beloved lover’ is interesting.”

Reflecting on his past experiences of giving jewelry, he added,

“They are beautiful memories now. I sincerely hope that a woman to whom I can give jewelry will appear in the future,”

amusing those around him.

On the Korean Wave and Cultural Exchange

Seung-heon, who visited Japan after a long time, also touched upon the current ‘Korean Wave’ boom, expressing his joy:

“Previously, dramas were loved by women in their 30s and 40s. Recently, K-POP and other elements are loved by younger people in their teens, broadening the age range of fans.”

Furthermore, he appealed,

“I hope Japanese people also come to Korea to be active, and that cultural exchanges between Japan and Korea become more vibrant. I wish for that day to come soon.”
Product Details and Event

The jewelry series is designed to mimic the shape of flower petals and is launched with the message “For you alone, the sparkle of happiness.” As a purchase benefit for the first 1,000 customers, a brand book featuring private shots of Seung-heon and a making-of DVD recording the photoshoot will be included.
On the day, from among 20 women invited by lottery, Seung-heon himself drew lots and directly presented a ring to the one selected.
