Gina Lollobrigida’s magnificent collection will be auctioned at Sotheby’s in Geneva on May 14. A portion of the proceeds from the jewelry auction will benefit stem cell research. The collection was previewed at Sotheby’s in Rome on April 19, 2013.
The collection includes Bulgari jewelry from the 1950s and 1960s, worn by the actress during the most important moments of her long career. These pieces were also part of the highlights of the international exhibition “Bulgari – 125 Years of Italian Magnificence.”
Among the most significant pieces are:
– A pair of pendant earrings in natural pearls and diamonds, estimated at USD 600,000-1,000,000.

– A diamond ring from 1962, 19.03 carats, estimated at USD 600,000-1,000,000.
– A diamond necklace, which transforms into a bracelet from 1954, estimated at USD 300,000-500,000.
The most important pieces of the collection will be displayed in London, New York, and Rome (premiering on April 19) before returning to Geneva for the pre-auction exhibition. This auction is part of a corpus of sales from the private collections of international stars such as Ava Gardner, Marlene Dietrich, Maria Callas, Mary Pickford, and Paulette Goddard.

– A diamond ring, 19.03 carats, Bulgari, 1962, estimated USD 600,000-1,000,000.
– A pair of emerald and diamond clip earrings, 15 carats, Bulgari 1964, estimated USD 150,000-250,000.
– An emerald brooch with 27.57 carats of diamonds, Bulgari 1964, estimated USD 150,000-250,000.

– An emerald and diamond ring, Bulgari 1964, with a 16.62-carat emerald framed by two rows of brilliant-cut diamonds, estimated USD 120,000-180,000.
