Domestic 3D Printing Specialist Enters Asian Market

Domestic 3D printing specialist Carima announced on the 3rd that it is launching a 3D printer for 3D CAD jewelers, marking its entry into the Asian market.

Carima is participating in the ‘Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2016’ held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from the 3rd to the 7th. It plans to showcase the first domestically produced jewelry-specific 3D printer and sell it in Hong Kong, Europe, and Asia.

The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is the world’s largest jewelry exhibition held annually in Hong Kong, featuring 2,500 companies from 41 countries and attracting 320,000 visitors.

Introducing the ‘im-j’ 3D Printer

At this exhibition, Carima plans to showcase its newly developed ‘im-j’ 3D printer. This product adopts LED as its light source, enabling over 20,000 hours of use—seven times longer than previous models—and offers a precision of 25 microns.

It particularly supports the molding of wax materials required in the jewelry field.

Carima also plans to publicly demonstrate its ‘imp’ model, equipped with the ultra-high-speed 3D printing technology C-CAT capable of printing a 60cm 3D object per hour, at its booth.

Global Expansion Plans

Carima already exports 3D printers to over 25 countries worldwide and has been in preliminary discussions with existing business partners and numerous overseas jewelry specialists and brands regarding the purchase of jewelry 3D printers and the establishment of dealerships. It plans to expand contracts through this exhibition.

CEO’s Statement
“With the im-j model, which integrates the world’s leading precision technology, Korean 3D printers will create a turning point to actively target the global market,” said Lee Byung-keuk, CEO of Carima. “We will do our best to ensure that Korean 3D printers are recognized as the world’s best technology, introduced into various manufacturing industries, and contribute to increased exports.”

Meanwhile, Carima is recruiting domestic and international dealerships and selling products concurrently with the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. Inquiries regarding dealerships and purchases can be made via phone (02-3663-8877) and the website (www.carima.co.kr).
