Carima participated in the ‘Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2016’ held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from March 3rd to 7th, and decided to sell its jewelry-specific 3D printer, the first of its kind from a domestic Korean product, to Hong Kong, Europe, and Asia.
The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is the world’s largest jewelry exhibition held annually in Hong Kong, featuring 2,500 jewelry specialist companies from 41 countries and attracting 320,000 visitors. The buyers participating in the exhibition are also jewelry industry professionals from Asia, Europe, the United States, and around the world, making it the world’s largest jewelry exhibition.

Carima’s newly developed ‘im-j’ 3D printer adopts LED as its light source, enabling over 20,000 hours of use, which is 7 times longer than previous models, and provides precision of 25 microns. It particularly supports the molding of wax materials required in the jewelry field.
Additionally, Carima is publicly demonstrating its ‘imp’ model, equipped with the ultra-high-speed 3D printing technology C-CAT capable of printing a 60cm 3D object per hour, at its booth.

Carima, which has already exported 3D printers to over 25 countries worldwide, has been pre-negotiating purchase requests and dealership establishment for its jewelry 3D printer with existing trading partners and numerous overseas jewelry specialist companies and brands. The company plans to proceed with contracts through this exhibition.

“We expect the im-j model, which integrates the world’s leading, top-tier precision technology, to be a turning point for Korean 3D printers to actively target the global market,” said Carima CEO Lee Byung-geuk. “We will do our best to ensure Korean 3D printers are recognized as the world’s best technology and are introduced into various manufacturing industries, contributing to increased exports.”
