The 2016 Korea Jewelry Fair opens at COEX Hall B on October 21st, showcasing a wide array of domestic and international jewelry, watches, and precious metals.

The ‘2016 Korea Jewelry Fair’, where one can view various precious metals including domestic and international jewelry and watches in one place, will be held at COEX Hall B on the first floor starting from the 21st.
Co-hosted by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), COEX, and the Korea Precious Metals & Jewelry Association Council, this event is the only jewelry and watch exhibition held in Korea. Alongside jewelry with traditional designs, brands from trendy young designers are also exhibited.
The ‘Korea Jewelry Fair’, now in its 14th year, is subdivided into major sections including the Brand Pavilion, Trend Pavilion, Master Craftsman Pavilion, Luxury Wedding Pavilion, Design Convergence Pavilion, and Art & Life Pavilion.
Looking at the main products by category, the exhibition space selling jewelry raw materials and finished products features high-value items such as diamonds, rubies, and pearls. In the space selling precious metal raw materials and finished products, practical precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum are exhibited and sold.
At the sales booths for fashion jewelry, accessories, and crafts, one can purchase various jewelry items along with ceramics, metalwork, and woodcraft products. Additionally, antique DIY products are also available for purchase.
The exhibition space related to wedding jewelry allows visitors to get a comprehensive view of wedding jewelry, studios, and related services at a glance. Furthermore, separate booths are set up for selling finished watches and related components.
In addition to jewelry, a separate ‘Culture & FINE ART’ pavilion has been created to exhibit works by artists. This is a convergence pavilion of Hallyu (Korean Wave) culture, art, and jewelry, aiming to foster Hallyu items through K-Jewelry. Chinese companies are also holding export consultations and job fairs to provide a foothold for Korean jewelry designers.
Meanwhile, the ‘2016 Korea Jewelry Fair’ will run for four days from the 21st to the 24th. In addition to the exhibition, side events such as the ‘Jewelry Design Competition Award Winners’ Exhibition’ and ‘Jewelry Flash Mob Fashion Show’ will be available for viewing.
