This article announces the upcoming virtual edition of the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, highlighting its focus on innovation, emerging talent, and premier craftsmanship.

The Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair (BGJF) is scheduled to be held virtually from June 22 to 24 under the title “BGJF Virtual Trade Fair (The 66th Special Edition)”.
The event will showcase products featuring the latest innovations, highlight many up-and-coming artisans and designers, and present exquisite pieces from top craftsmanship and manufacturing companies.
It will serve as an online platform for gems and jewelry trading and networking, enabling buyers and exporters from around the world to conduct business and build long-term trading relationships despite COVID-19 restrictions.

Moreover, key industry players, including the Thai Silver Exporters Association, the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), the Ministry of Commerce, and other related agencies, can provide useful and necessary information to assist businesses and individuals in their buying process.
Thailand, one of Asia’s main jewelry exporters, is renowned for its jewelry resources, design, manufacturing, and exquisite craftsmanship. In recent years, Thai silver jewelry has gained popularity as it is more affordable compared to other metals such as gold and platinum.

The industry is forecast to see a rise in exports of silver jewelry and accessories throughout 2021.
Consumer appetite for jewelry and accessories, which had been dampened by the pandemic, has started to increase due to industry dynamics and changes in consumer behavior. One key indicator is the value of the global jewelry market, which is expected to rise from $230 billion in 2020 to $292 billion by 2025, according to Statista.com.
Thailand’s gems and jewelry industry offers flexibility in terms of OEM services, from sourcing and designing to packaging and manufacturing. Buyers can address their specific demands regarding quality, quantity, and budget, solidifying Thailand’s position as a major jewelry trading hub in Asia.

One of the country’s main export markets is India, with an export value of $143.97 million USD from January to March 2021. Apart from silver jewelry and accessories, the Indian market is the third-largest buyer of Thai colored gemstones due to their fine craftsmanship, competitive pricing, and excellent quality.
