The desire to wear jewelry made of gold, silver, diamonds, and pearls is universal. Those who can afford them do buy them. You must have seen and heard about expensive gems and jewels from all over the world. However, recently an exhibition of a gem was held for the public, which is being called the most expensive gem to date. Yes! The world’s most expensive cut diamond was brought before the public for the first time in Dubai. This diamond has never been publicly displayed or sold in the last twenty years. This diamond had been kept securely for a very long time. This is the reason why the Guinness Book of World Records has also given it the status of the “largest cut diamond” in the world. Once again, this diamond has become a topic of discussion in the world.
Let’s find out what the price of this diamond is and when it will be auctioned…

This rare black carbonado diamond has been named “The Enigma”. The meaning of this word in Hindi is ‘puzzle’. Currently, this diamond is with the Dubai jewelry company Sotheby’s and will soon be auctioned. According to jewelry experts at Sotheby’s auction house, this diamond was created “when a meteorite or asteroid struck Earth 2,600 years ago”. The price of this black diamond could be around five million dollars, which is 50 crore rupees in Indian currency. Such black diamonds have only been found in Brazil and Central Africa. These diamonds contain carbon isotopes and hard hydrogen.

This cut diamond is one of the hardest substances. No claim has been made on this 555.55-carat diamond for the last 20 years. According to Sotheby’s jewelry specialist Sophie Stevens, the shape of this diamond is like a ‘Khamsa’.
In West Asian countries, a palm-shaped symbol is called ‘Khamsa’, which means strength. After the exhibition in Dubai, this rare diamond will be shown to the public in Los Angeles and London. The auction of this diamond will start from February 3rd and will last for seven days.

In the auction, the buyer of this diamond can also pay in cryptocurrency. The auction company Sotheby’s said that we have previously auctioned other gems in cryptocurrency as well. Last year in Hong Kong, the “Key10138” diamond was sold for 12.3 million dollars, the payment for which was made in cryptocurrency.
