Hong Kong businesses have expressed interest in the Vietnamese precious stones market during their participation in the 38th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and the 8th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show.

Held from July 29 to August 2, the events, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), attracted more than 430 companies from around the world, including those from Hong Kong, mainland China, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Vietnam.
Paul Sit, General Director of the Hong Kong-based Cixi Precious Stone Jewellery Company, told the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) that Vietnam is a major market for precious stones and offers many world-renowned stones such as cobalt spinel.

Vu Quoc Trung, from the Vietnam Trade Office in Hong Kong, said that the prestigious fairs attract the attention and participation of many Vietnamese companies.
