This article highlights the international recognition of Marbella-based jeweler Miguel Gómez y Molina, who will share his expertise at a UN forum in Geneva. His participation underscores the global influence of specialized craftsmanship in the luxury sector.

Miguel Gómez y Molina, a renowned jeweler from Marbella, will participate on September 13 in an international forum on the future of the luxury watch industry at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva. This professional with a long career is one of the most recognized gemologists in Europe and one of the few jewelry forensic experts in the region. He currently manages the family jewelry chain, which has become the reference for millionaires who reside or vacation in Marbella.
Thus, the jeweler will be the only representative from Andalusia at ‘Watches and Culture’, the cultural division of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie for this prestigious forum, which is titled “Helping to Create the Industry of Tomorrow” for 2022.
Various professionals from important companies will address sustainability, which involves the sector in a journey towards environmental care, emphasizing the enduring nature of watchmaking, which is one of Switzerland’s main industries—the country where this forum on the luxury goods sector is being held.
The forum will be moderated, among others, by the international director of The New York Times, Stephen Dunbar-Johnson, and will feature about thirty speakers of the caliber of Cyrille Vigneron, CEO of Cartier, or Catherine Rénier, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre. A meeting that will include personalities such as Patrick Pruniaux, CEO of Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin, and Helena Drobna from UNESCO.
Miguel Gómez y Molina is attending as one of the five ambassadors for Spain of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, in addition to being the industry representative from Andalusia appointed for this forum. This is something he has achieved at the helm of a company with 53 years of history in Marbella.
Gomez&Molina Joyeros is a family business founded in 1969 in a small shop at the Hotel Meliá Don Pepe in Marbella by his parents, Miguel Gómez Verdún and Antonia Molina Navarro. Currently, its boutiques are located in Puerto Banús and the center of Marbella, where they are frequented by billionaires from around the world.
Furthermore, the company has spent half a century developing its social work with entities such as the Spanish Association Against Cancer, Spanish Red Cross, UNICEF, Association Against AIDS, Concordia, Triple A, Horizon Association of Fundaspandem, Proyecto Hombre, Vicente Ferrer Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients, Rotary Club, or the Marbella Lions Club.
