New York—Trade members interested in buying corundum mined from Greenland Ruby now have the option to do so online.
The colored stone company, which mines ruby and pink sapphire in Aappaluttoq, Greenland, has announced the launch of a new online marketplace called RubyCloud.
Developed by software company GemCloud, RubyCloud offers manufacturers, designers, and retailers access to an extensive inventory of cut and polished gems from Greenland.

The online marketplace is accessible at any time and continually updated as new gems become available for sale. It allows users to filter by gem type, color, cut, carat weight, and more.
Each stone comes with a 360-degree video as well as high-quality photos meant to show the color true to the eye, the company said.
Interested parties will need to go through a registration process to see prices and make purchases via RubyCloud.

The company also just announced it has become a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
To hear more from Greenland Ruby or see a demonstration of RubyCloud, visit them at the AGTA GemFair event in Tucson, slated for Feb. 1-6 at the Tucson Convention Center.
