Three years after establishing itself in Córdoba, FACET, the jewelry company that recently received the Córdoba SME of the Year Award, inaugurated its new factory and facilities in the Córdoba Jewelry Park on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
Several authorities attended the event, including María Dolores Gálvez Baez, Territorial Delegate for Employment, Business, and Self-Employment of Córdoba of the Junta de Andalucía; Carmen Gago, General Secretary of the Córdoba Chamber of Commerce; Milagrosa Gomez, President of the Provincial Association of Jewelers, Silversmiths, and Watchmakers of Córdoba San Eloy; Juan Luis Lara, Provincial General Secretary of Economy, Finance, and European Funds of the Junta de Andalucía; Joaquín Gisbert, from the Confederation of Businessmen of Córdoba; and Mariano Romero, Director of the Córdoba School of Jewelry.
The guests were able to visit FACET’s new factory and see firsthand each of the areas that comprise its complete jewelry manufacturing process. From the Design area, the company’s main driver, through each production phase such as prototyping, stone selection, or setting, to the continuous quality control that each piece undergoes before reaching its customers, guaranteeing perfect quality and finish.
commented José Miguel Serret, CEO of FACET, during the factory visit. He also added:
The Delegate for Employment, Business, and Self-Employment, María Dolores Gálvez Baez, highlighted the strength of this company, which, three years after setting up in Córdoba, is inaugurating a new factory, doubling its initial workforce in Córdoba, and with a pandemic in between.
she said. These data demonstrate, continued the territorial official:
In the factory and facilities located in the Jewelry Park, FACET has a team specialized in casting, machining, numerical control, fire setters, setters, polishers, and gemologists. Additionally, it has an international customer service team to serve the more than 1,500 clients to whom it exports in over 25 countries.
During the inauguration of FACET’s new facilities, the pre-launch of a collection of extraordinary, fully traceable jewelry was presented for the first time. This collection is the result of collaboration between FACET, Tracemark, and Pluczenik, one of De Beers’ main sightholders. Among some of these pieces, a solitaire ring with a fully traceable 10-carat brilliant-cut diamond was greatly admired.
The official launch of this unique collaboration between the three prestigious firms will take place at GemGenève on November 2, demonstrating a firm commitment to the sustainable development of a more transparent jewelry industry and responsible sourcing of raw materials.
