This article highlights Zhang Zetian’s appearance at a Chopard dinner during the Cannes Film Festival, framing it as part of her ongoing efforts to bolster JD.com’s presence in the fashion and luxury sector.

Recently, Zhang Zetian appeared at Cannes in a black gown. This trip was an invitation to attend a dinner hosted by the Swiss high-end watch and jewelry brand Chopard in Cannes. This is also Zhang Zetian’s latest move to support JD.com’s fashion and luxury business.
Zhang Zetian posted a photo on social media with Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, congratulating her on the launch of a new product line and thanking Caroline and her team. As early as 2017, Chopard became the first luxury jewelry brand to settle on JD.com. Now, JD.com has become the most trusted e-commerce partner in China for super brands including LV and Dior.

This is not the first time Zhang Zetian has supported JD.com’s business expansion. With keen fashion insight and hailed as “China’s Natalie Massenet” by Hong Kong Tatler, she has been deeply involved in JD.com’s fashion and luxury business. Since 2017, she has attended important fashion events and conferences as JD.com’s Fashion Brand Expansion Advisor, leading JD.com to major fashion weeks, hosting fashion dinners in New York, and collaborating with brands to launch co-branded clothing series, undertaking the important task of helping JD.com expand its brand.
With Zhang Zetian’s strong support, JD.com’s fashion and luxury business has grown rapidly in the past few years. Many brands have chosen to partner with JD.com to deepen their presence in the Chinese market. Currently, more than 400 luxury brand official flagship stores have settled on JD.com.
In 2022, JD Luxury successively welcomed CELINE and FENDI from the LVMH group, becoming the first company to achieve comprehensive cooperation with nine top fashion brands under the LVMH group. The Kering Group also began its first cooperation with JD.com. Just before this year’s JD 618, the Italian luxury fashion brand Bottega Veneta became the first luxury fashion brand for the official cooperation between the Kering Group and JD.com.
