Trendyol, the Turkish e-commerce fashion giant, is broadening its German marketplace beyond apparel. The platform will soon pilot new categories, including Beauty, Homeware, and Jewellery, supported by a roster of new partners. This move marks a significant step in its European expansion strategy.
The Turkish online fashion retailer Trendyol is expanding the assortment on its German platform. The company announced on Friday that it will begin testing the new Beauty, Homeware, and Jewellery categories in Germany in the coming weeks. It stated that “numerous new partners have already been won for the platform” in these areas.
Trendyol has been present in Germany with its own online presence for a year and claims to have “enthused more than one million customers” there since then. In April, the e-commerce specialist intensified its efforts with its first targeted brand campaign for the German market. On its platform, the company offers products from well-known international fashion firms and Trendyol’s own brands. Furthermore, thanks to numerous labels from its home country, the online store is described as a “showcase for the Turkish fashion industry,” according to a press release.
Erdem Inan, Head of Growth at Trendyol, acknowledged the experiences the company has gained in Germany over the past twelve months:
For the coming year, Trendyol has now set the goal of “further expanding the product and marketplace offering,” Inan added.
