This article reports on the inauguration of the Second International Jewelry Fashion Trends Conference in Guangzhou’s Panyu District. The event highlights the region’s growing role in the global jewelry and fashion industry.
On February 22, 2023, the Second International Jewelry Fashion Trends Conference (China · Guangzhou Panyu) was officially held at the Sihai Cheng in the Changlong Wanda Commercial District, Panyu District, Guangzhou. The event was guided by the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangzhou Sub-council, hosted by the People’s Government of Panyu District, Guangzhou, and the China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association, and organized by China Gems Magazine Co., Ltd.
The conference, themed “Focusing on High-Quality Development, Bravely Standing at the Forefront of the New Era,” aims to bring broader space and market for the brand and industrial development of the jewelry industry. It showcases the development blueprint actively constructed by the Panyu jewelry industry with the goal of “accelerating the construction of a new development pattern with the domestic great circulation as the mainstay and the mutual promotion of domestic and international dual circulation,” further promoting the high-quality development of Panyu’s jewelry industry.
Ye Zhimin, President of the China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association and Chairman of the National Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Inspection Group Co., Ltd., announced the opening of the event. The opening ceremony was attended by numerous distinguished guests, including leaders from Panyu District, Guangzhou Municipal Trade Promotion Council, the China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association, the Panyu District People’s Congress Standing Committee, the Panyu District CPPCC, as well as diplomatic envoys from Sri Lanka and South Africa, leaders from relevant national and provincial departments, industry association representatives, experts, scholars, and representatives from renowned jewelry brands and media outlets.
During the opening ceremony, a plaque unveiling ceremony was held for the “Permanent Hosting of the International Jewelry Fashion Trends Conference in Guangzhou Panyu.”
Additionally, a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation intent on high-quality development of Guangzhou Panyu’s jewelry industry was held at the conference. Panyu District, Guangzhou, reached strategic cooperation intent agreements with six well-known domestic jewelry enterprises.
