This article highlights Chopard’s latest high jewelry collection, unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival. As the festival’s long-standing partner, the brand continues its tradition of crafting exquisite pieces for the red carpet.

Swiss jewelry brand Chopard has been the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival since 1998 and has crafted the festival’s highest honor, the Palme d’Or trophy, since 1997. The Chopard Red Carpet jewelry collection, born to adorn the stars on the red carpet, is creatively conceived by Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele and is unveiled annually during Cannes, becoming one of the most anticipated events.
Welcoming this most revered cinematic event each year is also a challenge of creativity and craftsmanship for Chopard. At the 77th Cannes Film Festival in 2024, Chopard presented 77 jewelry pieces inspired by fairy tales (Contes de Fées). Various imaginative childhood memories inspired Caroline Scheufele, weaving a fantastical fairy tale world full of personal color, making the Cannes’ La Croisette shimmer and reflecting the whimsy of cinematic art.
A necklace inspired by the oak tree, symbolizing life and strength and providing a habitat for many small animals, insects, and birds. The necklace’s base is made from ethically sourced rose gold and titanium, the result of a six-month collaboration between four jewelers and setters. Tsavorite garnets are set on thin titanium sheets, with clusters of vibrant pear-cut yellow sapphires forming flowers, complemented by intricately carved and colored titanium acorns.
The playful mushroom ring is crafted from ethically sourced rose gold. The finely detailed cap features delicate vertical ribs and is entirely paved with white, orange, cognac, and brown diamonds, cleverly arranged in a gradient of size and color. The lily-of-the-valley brooch is made from lightweight titanium, with adorable bell-shaped flowers micro-set with diamonds, paired with small pistils made from ethically sourced gold, creating a magical fairy-tale effect.

The long necklace features a pendant with a flower, showcasing a naturally pure, inclusion-free crystal. At its center blooms a flower composed of rubellite, tsavorite garnets, and colored diamonds. The crystal is surrounded by nine handcrafted titanium flowers, with pistils casually curling. Finally, small pearls resembling dewdrops adorn the tsavorite garnet leaves, making each flower unique and lifelike.
Butterfly-inspired earrings are crafted from ethically sourced white gold, adorned with two pear-cut aquamarines. An ethically sourced gold ring is decorated with two small frogs made of titanium and pear-cut emeralds, crowned with rubellite, white diamonds, and yellow diamonds. At the center of this crown, symbolizing nobility, sits a magnificent 17.7-carat round-cut rubellite, a classic fairy-tale symbol.
The specially crafted tiara seems made for a magical fairy from a tale. At the center of the dreamy tiara, a graceful fairy is surrounded by stars and pear-shaped diamonds falling like rain, with wings woven from mother-of-pearl, elegant and ethereal. The fairy section can also be detached and worn as a brooch. Another fairy-inspired piece is a large titanium earring in the shape of an oak leaf, clustered with acorns at the center, featuring two mischievous forest sprites, as if whispering by the ear, full of adorable and pleasing ingenuity.
