Morton Subastas, a leading auction house with over three decades of experience, is significantly expanding its presence in Guadalajara. This move underscores the company’s commitment to growth and its recognition of the city’s vibrant cultural and commercial landscape.

Sofía Duarte, Commercial Director of Morton Subastas, announced that the auction house is expanding into the “pearl of Jalisco” (Guadalajara). The company, with over 36 years of experience and headquarters in Mexico City, has maintained a small representative office in Guadalajara for six years, which is now set for expansion.
Duarte explained they are initiating a jewelry consignment clinic, receiving people who wish to sell jewelry and watches. They have a specific alliance with Bonhams, an English auction house. Specialists from both Bonhams and Morton are reviewing pieces consignors want to sell and providing recommendations on where the pieces could achieve a better sale result.
The new space where Morton Subastas will receive consignors will be ready in approximately three months.
Morton Subastas began as an antiques gallery in the 1980s but held its first auction one year after opening.
