Editor’s Note
The “Secrets of Jewellery” exhibition, having captivated audiences in Lyon, Bordeaux, and Paris, arrives in Lille this November. This immersive showcase, presented by Francéclat, offers a unique glimpse into the artistry and craft of precious jewellery.
Following its stops in Lyon in 2018, Bordeaux in 2019, and Paris in 2023 (in an enhanced version), the “Secrets of Jewellery” exhibition is soon arriving in Lille. Initiated by Francéclat, it invites the public to discover the world of precious jewellery.
From Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 17, 2024, Francéclat will present the new edition of the “Secrets of Jewellery” exhibition at Bazaar St-So, located at 292 Rue Camille Guérin in Lille.
The exhibition, which unveils the craftsmanship of jewellery-making, is thus landing in a fourth major French city, Lille. “Secrets of Jewellery” presents itself as an invitation to discover the behind-the-scenes of the creation, manufacturing, and presentation of precious jewellery. Gold, platinum, silver, diamonds, coloured stones—a wide variety of pieces from French brands and creators, 250 in total, will be unveiled through this exhibition, which offers free admission.
The “Secrets of Jewellery” journey is organised in three stages and begins with the creative phase, immersing visitors in the jewellery creation process through visuals and a video excerpt. The visit continues within a space dedicated to manufacturing: setting, polishing, lost-wax casting—the specific techniques and craftsmanship of jewellery-making are highlighted.
Placed under the sign of innovation, this edition of “Secrets of Jewellery” also honours 3D printing and its processes applied to jewellery.
