【Patna/Delhi,】Bihar News: Bihar Wins Gold Medal at 43rd India International Trade Fair, Exhibition Showcases Glimpse of a Developed State

Bihar Wins Gold Medal at IITF

Patna/Delhi:
Bihar won the Gold Medal for its splendid exhibition at the 43rd edition of the India International Trade Fair (IITF), which concluded at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The medal was presented to Nikhil Dhanraj Nipanikar, the nodal officer of the Bihar project, during the award ceremony. Vandana Preyasi, Secretary of the Industries Department, and Alok Ranjan Ghosh, Director of Industries, were also present on the occasion.

“We express our gratitude to IITF for appreciating our efforts through the Gold Medal. Bihar has made unprecedented progress in the last few years. We are committed to making Bihar a developed state by 2047 and are implementing investment-friendly policies accordingly. I am happy to state that investment is continuously increasing in Bihar. We invite investors to join us in building a developed Bihar,” said Vandana Preyasi, expressing her joy on winning the medal.

Alok Ranjan Ghosh, Director of Industries, Bihar, said,

“This honor received by Bihar is quite encouraging for us. It will further strengthen our efforts towards the 2047 development goals. Bihar, known for its art and culture, has now become the first choice for investors as well. The state’s development is providing new opportunities for investors every day.”

According to Nikhil Dhanraj Nipanikar, who was overwhelmed by the honor,

“This honor reflects people’s love for Bihar’s art, culture, and heritage, and its fame across the country and abroad. This award is proof that we have succeeded in clearly and effectively presenting the vision of a Developed Bihar 2047. Bihar is progressing rapidly on the path of development, and we are fully hopeful that it will succeed in achieving the 2047 development goals.”

On Sunday, Bihar’s Minister of Industries and Tourism, Nitish Mishra, had inaugurated the Bihar Pavilion and cultural program, which was a major attraction that day.

Glimpse of Developed Bihar 2047 Seen at the Fair

Bihar was the Partner State this year, so the Bihar Pavilion was prepared in line with the fair’s theme of ‘Developed India 2047’. Under the guidance of Vandana Preyasi, Secretary of the Industries Department, and Alok Ranjan Ghosh, Director of Industries, the Industries Department of the Bihar Government, with the help of the ‘Udyog Mitra’ team, gave concrete shape to this entire event and exhibition.
The Bihar Pavilion had a total of 75 stalls, displaying the state’s handloom, khadi, and handicraft products. Babbun Booti from Nalanda, Bhagalpuri silk, Madhubani paintings from Mithila, Tikuli art from Patna, and other artworks were kept for sale and display. The pavilion was designed around the theme of Bihar’s unique cultural and historical heritage. The entry gate was designed as the ‘Sabhyata Dwar’ (Civilization Gate), adorned with the logo of ‘Developed Bihar 2047’.
At the center of the pavilion was the Bihar Museum. Its walls also featured 3D paintings of the modern Nalanda University and the iconic Buddha Bridge. Other walls were adorned with Madhubani, Manjusha, and Tikuli art created by Bihar’s renowned Padma Shri artists. The pavilion showcased traditional art forms – Madhubani painting, terracotta art, and sikki craft. Through this interactive display, visitors saw and experienced Bihar’s rich art.

Bihar Pavilion Receives High Praise

Furthermore, the displays at the Bihar Pavilion included glimpses of the state’s key initiatives like the Chief Minister Entrepreneur Scheme and Startup Bihar, showcasing entrepreneurship and innovation. Additionally, the focus on women’s empowerment through initiatives like the Chief Minister Women Entrepreneur Scheme highlighted Bihar’s commitment to inclusive development.

Adhering to ITPO’s plastic-free guidelines, the pavilion was designed in an environmentally friendly manner. Local materials were used in the decoration, which demonstrated the state’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
