This article outlines the implementation of a new salary scale for the retail jewelry and watchmaking sector, effective March 1, 2024, as established by recent official addendum. The terms remain governed by the existing national collective bargaining agreement.

Pursuant to Addendum No. 31 dated February 16, 2024, concerning minimum wages (Official Journal BOCC 2024-15 TRA), the new salary scale for the retail jewelry and watchmaking trade is effective as of March 1, 2024.
The national collective bargaining agreement for the retail jewelry and watchmaking trade of December 17, 1987 (IDCC 1487 – Brochure JO No. 3240) governs the relationships between employees and companies whose main activity falls under the retail jewelry and watchmaking trade (APE code 64.45). This includes:
- Retail businesses in watchmaking, jewelry, fine jewelry, and goldsmithing,
- Retail and repair businesses in the aforementioned activities,
- As well as any sales business, including repair and manufacturing activities when they are ancillary to watchmaking, jewelry, fine jewelry, goldsmithing, and accessories.
An average increase of 1.41% across the entire salary scale has been decided, effective March 1, 2024.
The 2024 conventional salary scale helps answer the following questions:
- How much does a worker or a supervisor earn?
- What is the salary range for the retail jewelry and watchmaking trade in 2024?
- How much can an employee earn based on their training and experience?
- What is the average salary in the retail jewelry and watchmaking trade?
These figures represent the guaranteed minimum gross salaries for a working duration of 35 hours (in euros) or 151.67 hours per month, depending on your level and status (worker, employee, supervisor, or executive).
