Israeli diamond firm A. Dalumi has secured a manufacturing license in Botswana, positioning it among the first to establish a polishing factory in the country. This move marks a significant step in Botswana’s efforts to expand its role in the diamond value chain beyond mining.

Dalumi Granted Manufacturing License

Israeli-based DTC Sightholder A. Dalumi has received a license to manufacture diamonds in Botswana. Dalumi will be one of the first companies to open a diamond polishing factory in Botswana.

Factory Details

The planned 1,300 square meter factory, which is slated to open at the beginning of 2007, will be located in Botswana’s capital Gaborone. Dalumi says the new plant will be equipped with the latest diamond polishing technology and employ about 200 workers.
