Christie’s has unveiled further highlights for its autumn auction season, featuring two live sales dedicated to jewellery, jadeite, and luxury accessories. These events at the firm’s new Asia Pacific headquarters aim to offer both seasoned and new collectors a premier bidding experience.
Christie’s is pleased to announce the “Magnificent Jewellery and Jadeite” live auction on October 29 and the “Classics: Handbags and Accessories” live auction on October 28, presenting more rare lots. These two meticulously curated auctions will be held at Christie’s new Asia Pacific headquarters, offering an unparalleled bidding and collecting experience for seasoned and new collectors worldwide.

Autumn 2024 marks a new chapter with Christie’s Asia Pacific headquarters moving to The Henderson, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the Handbags & Accessories department’s auctions in Asia. To celebrate this season’s milestone, experts have meticulously assembled a magnificent collection of handbag masterpieces, featuring the rarest limited-edition pieces from prestigious brands like Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton on an unprecedented scale. All highlights will debut at the inaugural “Classics: Handbags and Accessories” live auction at the new headquarters on October 28.
The auction will also feature the complete sought-after Faubourg Birkin collection and the ultimate treasure in handbags – the Himalayan Niloticus Crocodile Diamond Kelly. These extraordinary pieces are sure to attract fervent bidding from discerning collectors.
The auction also presents a series of handbags crafted from rare leathers and fabrics, some making their debut at Christie’s and others being discontinued rarities highly sought after in the market. For collectors who love artistic collaborations, the auction features rare limited-edition pieces from Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with Yayoi Kusama, while Chanel’s classic designs are destined to become favorites for the fashion-forward.
