The auction house Bonhams, which is on an expansion course, has appointed Chabi Nouri as its new CEO, bringing expertise from the luxury goods industry.
The auction house Bonhams has appointed Chabi Nouri as its new global Chief Executive Officer. The Swiss national is set to assume her position in October and will operate from the international company’s headquarters in London.
The company, founded in 1793 in the British capital and owned by the Epiris Group, has recently been on an expansion drive. In 2022, it acquired four competitors: Bukowskis in Stockholm, Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen, Skinner in Boston, and Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris.
As the future CEO, Nouri possesses expertise primarily in the luxury goods market, representing the growing importance of this segment in the auction business. The career of the graduate from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland began at the jewelry manufacturer Cartier. Subsequently, she became the Managing Director of the watch and jewelry company Piaget and led the Private Equity Lifestyle division at the banking and financial group Mirabaud.
