The Mexican baseball team Diablos Rojos, controlled by the wealthy Harp family, registered its shares on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) for a total value of 624.3 million pesos, according to the placement prospectus published this Friday.
The transaction involves the registration without a public offering of 624,255 securities on the country’s main stock exchange, each with a theoretical nominal value of 1,000 pesos, representing the total share capital of the company.

The firm reported that the initial listing price for the shares, with the ticker symbol “Diablos,” would be 1,620 pesos, according to the document.
The Mexican Stock Exchange announced via its X account that the opening bell ceremony to commence trading is scheduled for January 9.

Diablos Rojos is the first Mexican baseball team to debut on the stock market. In February, the soccer club América went public on the exchange following its split from media giant Grupo Televisa. Since then, its share price has grown by nearly 200%.
