This article details the Swiss luxury group Richemont’s strategic expansion of its jewelry division with the acquisition of Italian brand Vhernier, announced ahead of its upcoming financial results.

The luxury group, which will present its latest financial results on May 17, adds the Italian brand Vhernier to its jewelry portfolio.

Another Maison joins Richemont’s portfolio. Already the owner of jewelry houses such as Cartier, Buccellati, and Van Cleef & Arpels, among others, the Swiss group confirmed this week the conclusion of an agreement to acquire 100% of Vhernier from the Traglio family, which has owned the brand since 2001.

Vhernier, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, has made a name for itself with its contemporary pieces handcrafted in Valenza, in the Piedmont region. Based in Milan, the brand has a distribution network comprising around 15 directly operated stores and just over 120 retailers primarily based in Europe and the United States.

In addition to its eponymous brand, Vhernier also operates De Vecchi Milano 1935, a label specializing in the Made in Italy creation of silver jewelry and decorative pieces.
