Editor’s Note
This article highlights the key advantages of the industrial EXT platform, focusing on its compact design and cost-effectiveness, which facilitate wider market adoption. It also underscores the proven reliability of its high-speed pellet extrusion technology.

The small footprint and lower initial investment enable broader adoption of the industrial EXT platform in existing and new markets.
Leveraging proven high-speed pellet extrusion technology — achieving up to 10x speed increase and reducing costs to one-tenth — it is more affordable than existing filament systems and offers improved ROI.
The improved design and open material architecture provide a cost-effective production platform for a wide range of industrial applications.
Rock Hill, South Carolina, June 18, 2024 — 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) today announced the addition of the EXT 800 Titan Pellet to its industry-leading portfolio of EXT Titan Pellet systems.
This new pellet extrusion system offers a build size of 800 x 600 x 800 mm, delivering the speed, reliability, and efficiency of 3D Systems’ larger EXT Titan Pellet systems (EXT 1070 Titan Pellet and EXT 1270 Titan Pellet) in a more compact size while keeping the initial investment low. This enables manufacturers to utilize the fully automated, production-ready EXT 800 Titan Pellet to produce smaller functional prototypes, molds, fixtures, sand casting patterns, thermoforming molds, and end-use parts. The EXT 800 Titan Pellet is designed to efficiently and cost-effectively serve applications across a broad range of markets, including casting, aerospace & defense, thermoforming, prosthetics & footwear, and research, as it can print up to 10x faster than traditional filament-based systems and reduce material costs to one-tenth.
3D Systems has added the cost-effective, space-saving EXT 800 Titan Pellet to its lineup of high-speed industrial pellet extrusion 3D printers.
With a single extrusion toolhead and sophisticated industrial design, the EXT 800 Titan Pellet is ideal for a wide range of manufacturing environments, including offices, laboratories, universities, and large-scale factories. The printer’s compact frame allows it to pass through standard double doors, facilitating easy delivery and installation. The device also features a large front touch screen for an intuitive user experience.
In addition to the new system features of the EXT 800 Titan Pellet, customers integrating this pellet extrusion system into their manufacturing environment can utilize the same performance features found in 3D Systems’ larger pellet extrusion printers, the EXT 1070 Titan Pellet and EXT 1270 Titan Pellet. An industrial CNC controller for applications requiring high reliability, a heated bed and chamber for precise parts, and 3D Systems’ proven pellet extrusion hardware and materials, along with the technology adopted in this 3D printer family, enable print speeds up to 10x faster than traditional filament printing and reduce material costs to one-tenth.
Furthermore, heating the bed and chamber allows the use of high-temperature engineering materials filled with glass or carbon, such as ABS, PC, nylon, PEI, and PEKK, as well as highly flexible TPEs and TPUs that cannot be printed on filament-based machines.
The EXT 800 Titan Pellet is available for order now. Initial printer deliveries are scheduled for the third quarter of 2024. For more detailed information or to schedule a meeting with an application expert, please visit the 3D Systems website (https://ja.3dsystems.com/contact).
