This partnership between Fcode Labs and Porolis marks a significant step in modernizing the gemstone industry through AI. By combining advanced scanning with digital engineering, the new platform promises to enhance transparency, trust, and accessibility in gemstone certification—a clear example of how technology can transform traditional sectors.

Fcode Labs, a global digital product engineering company, has partnered with Porolis, an innovator in gemstone scanning technology, to launch an AI-powered platform that reimagines how gemstones are analysed, certified, and showcased in the digital age.
The revolutionary solution comprises a cloud-based GemLUX AIaaS platform and a scanning device named KROMA, invented by Porolis. Fcode Labs developed the end-to-end software infrastructure, while Porolis provided the proprietary AI model for gem analysis. Combining Porolis’ deep gemstone domain knowledge and advanced optical engineering with Fcode Labs’ expertise in cloud-based software, the solution brings speed, accuracy, and transparency to an industry still reliant on manual processes.
Fcode Labs’ role included developing both a Windows-native interface for gem scanning and a scalable SaaS platform for managing data, reports, and customer experiences, all designed with usability, security, and future scalability in mind.
Porolis has launched the GemLUX AIaaS and KROMA at three centres in Beruwala, Colombo, and Ratnapura, where gemstone traders can now scan and assess their gemstones’ quality, putting AI tools in their own hands.
Known for its work across healthcare, manufacturing, and public sector domains, Fcode Labs also leads technology delivery for the Singapore Ministry of Health, reinforcing its credentials as a trusted innovation partner for mission-critical systems.
With clients across Asia, Europe, and North America, Fcode Labs continues to be a driving force in product innovation, combining AI, cloud infrastructure, and user-first design to help businesses unlock their full potential.
