A remarkable 53.14-carat fancy vivid yellow diamond, hailed as a masterpiece for its exceptional colour and brilliance, will be the star lot at Phillips Geneva’s upcoming auction next month. The internally flawless gem, set in a pendant with white diamonds, carries a pre-sale estimate of $2.4 million to $3.5 million.

A 53.14-carat fancy vivid yellow diamond is expected to fetch between $2.4 million and $3.5 million (CHF 2.15 million to CHF 3.1 million) when it goes on sale at Phillips Geneva next month.
The internally flawless gem, described as “a true masterpiece of exceptional colour and brilliance,” is set in a pendant with white diamonds and will be the leading lot at the Geneva Jewels Auction: IV event.
Another highlight of the sale is a pair of Type IIa, D-color, internally flawless diamonds weighing 10.92 carats and 10.58 carats, with an estimated value of $1.4 million to $1.8 million (CHF 1.25 million to CHF 1.6 million).
The auction will also feature colored gemstones, as well as pieces by renowned jewelers such as Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Bulgari, Graff, and Buccellati, including items of historical significance.
Highlights from the auction will be previewed in Hong Kong, New York, Singapore, London, and Geneva before the main event on May 12th.
