Before the finale of “Downton Abbey” hits cinemas in September, costumes and props from the popular TV series will be auctioned in London. Among the items are Lady Edith’s wedding dress and the family car.
The second daughter of Lord and Lady Grantham had almost resigned herself to a life as an “old maid,” but during a reunion at London’s Ritz, Bertie proposes to her again. The wedding of the two is the highlight of the final episode of Julian Fellowes’ popular and multi-award-winning TV series “Downton Abbey” (2010 to 2015), which in 52 episodes tells the story of the life of the English aristocratic Crawley family between 1912 and 1926.
