The Navi Mumbai International Airport, set to be inaugurated on October 8, will be known for its massive capacities in the coming times. A company named Navi Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (NMIAL) has been established as the operator of this airport for the design, development, construction, operation, maintenance, management, and expansion of the greenfield international airport project in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. This is a public-private partnership (PPP) between Mumbai International Airport Limited (a subsidiary of Adani Airports Holdings Limited), which holds a 74% stake, and CIDCO (City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited), which holds a 26% stake. NMIAL is committed to building a sustainable airport that will strengthen India’s global connectivity while meeting the growing air traffic demands of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Western India.

Passengers at Navi Mumbai International Airport will have a special experience of the facilities provided with the help of technology. Under Digi Yatra, there will be seamless, contactless processing facilities. The experience will include zero manual ID/boarding pass checks, baggage tracking facility as per IATA 753, automatic baggage handling system, advanced tracking system for real-time monitoring, and a Wi-Fi enabled airport experience with Internet of Things and robust cybersecurity.
