A glimpse of the future was seen at Asia’s largest tech event, the ‘India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025’. This time, innovations were presented that could completely change our daily lives.
The India Mobile Congress 2025, held in New Delhi, will see participation from over 150,000 people from more than 125 countries. This mega tech event in Asia also features over 400 exhibitors along with 500 startups. On the very first day of the event, tech companies unveiled devices that make one feel the need for mobiles, laptops, and TVs might soon become obsolete. While several tech products were showcased, the main attractions were technologies like smart glasses equipped with AR technology and AI-enabled railway safety systems.
Imagine you are traveling on a train or bus and, during the journey, you are watching a movie on a 65-inch virtual display or talking to someone on a video call without any physical screen. This is about to become reality. These high-tech glasses based on Augmented Reality (AR) will display a virtual screen that remains stable despite movement. With the help of these VR glasses, you will be able to enjoy multimedia content anywhere and anytime. This virtual screen will also function as a GPS. Just by speaking, it will start showing you the way.
On the first day of the event, a glimpse of future technology aimed at reducing rail accidents was also seen. A new smart train monitoring system was presented at the event, which can detect even the smallest faults in a train in real-time. This system closely monitors every part of the train through cameras and smart sensors. If any kind of fault is detected, the system installed in the train sends an alert to the driver and applies emergency brakes to prevent the train from becoming a victim of an accident.
Constant changes are happening in the world of mobility. Now, with the help of GPS systems, live monitoring of fleet vehicles is being done. On the first day of the event, technology was seen that not only tracks vehicles but also monitors driver behavior. This technology also includes geo-fencing, meaning it sends an alert to the company if the vehicle goes outside a designated area. Furthermore, this technology can determine when a vehicle needs servicing. This will increase the lifespan of vehicles and reduce service costs.
The technologies displayed at IMC 2025 point towards a self-reliant and innovation-driven future for India’s technology sector. These smart innovations are not just about convenience but could prove to be the foundation for India’s upcoming digital and smart mobility revolution.
