The entire nation is paying tribute today on the death anniversary of India’s former President, the ‘Missile Man’, and Bharat Ratna awardee, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Emotional tributes were paid across the country in memory of Dr. Kalam, who played a pivotal role in scientific achievements and nation-building. Several leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, paid homage to Dr. Kalam on the social media platform ‘X’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Dr. Kalam, describing him as an inspiring visionary, an outstanding scientist, and a great patriot.
Home Minister Amit Shah remembered Dr. Kalam, writing:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described him as “full of simplicity, dedication, and patriotism.” He said Dr. Kalam’s life is a divine inspiration for the entire nation and his thoughts in the fields of science, education, and innovation will always remain relevant.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Dr. Kalam not only taught the youth to dream big but also showed them the path to achieve those dreams. He wrote:

Dr. Kalam’s contributions have been remarkable, ranging from the development of Indian missile and defense systems to the fields of education, leadership, and national consciousness. He passed away on July 27, 2015, due to a cardiac arrest during a lecture in Shillong. Today, on his death anniversary, the entire nation remembers him with respect and gratitude.
