Violence Erupts During Holi Procession
During a Holi procession for ‘Lat Sahib’ in Shahjahanpur, troublemakers created disturbances at two locations. A group of youths, dancing and singing far behind the main procession, pelted stones at personnel of the Rapid Action Force (RAF). In response, the force chased and beat the rioters. This lathi-charge occurred in the Khernibagh area under the Sadar Bazaar police station jurisdiction.
