Industrialist and Rajya Sabha member Govind Dholakia from Surat has announced that he will gift diamond jewelry to all the winning players.
Govind Dholakia, founder and chairman emeritus of Shriramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., expressed this wish in a letter to BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla before the final match. He said he would present ‘handcrafted natural diamond jewelry’ to every player on the team, which would be a symbol of appreciation for their hard work and courage.
Govind Dholakia, long active in the diamond industry and social service, is known for his philanthropic work. He has previously initiated several projects in the fields of education, health, and environmental protection. This time, his step connects both sports and sustainability.

Following this victory, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia announced that Team India would be awarded a prize of 51 crore rupees. This will include players, coaching staff, and the support team. During this, the BCCI secretary also praised ICC chairman Jay Shah, who has made several improvements in women’s cricket, such as equal pay and a 300% increase in prize money, which has now reached 14 million dollars.
