Shoeisha Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo) will release the book “100 Words to Appreciate Jewelry” on July 24, 2025. This book is a gift for jewelry lovers, compiling basic knowledge, history, maisons, and jewelers through the lens of 100 words.
The book is authored by Kana Kasahara, who heads the gemstone department at Christie’s Japan, the world’s oldest fine art auction house. Through 100 keywords, she guides readers into the profound world of jewelry. The collection covers diverse topics including the basics of diamonds and colored gems, birthstones, historically significant jewelry, iconic designs from major maisons and their creators, traditional motifs from nature and stories, artistic styles, lesser-known master jewelers, contemporary artists, and unique auction insights from the author.
