Editor’s Note
Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines have launched a reciprocal status match, allowing members of either frequent flyer program to enjoy elite benefits across both carriers. Members who earned elite-qualifying miles in both programs in 2024 will have their balances combined to determine their highest possible status tier.

Members of HawaiianMiles and Alaska’s Mileage Plan can now link their accounts to match their status across both programs, allowing them to enjoy elite benefits when traveling on either airline. Additionally, guests who earned elite-qualifying miles (EQMs) in both HawaiianMiles and Mileage Plan in 2024 will be awarded the highest possible status based on their combined EQM balance. HawaiianMiles members who have already transferred miles between HawaiianMiles and Mileage plan are already linked.
HawaiianMiles elites who have a linked Mileage Plan account will enjoy Mileage Plan elite benefits when they fly on Alaska and will receive the benefits of oneworld® status when flying on oneworld® partners using their Mileage Plan number in their reservation.
Important: HawaiianMiles members who don’t currently have an Alaska Mileage Plan account must create one and link their current HawaiianMiles account to receive these exciting new benefits.
Members who have HawaiianMiles status only will be matched to the following status:
If you have: HawaiianMiles Pualani Gold -> Mileage Plan status received: Alaska Mileage Plan MVP -> oneworld® Alliance status received: oneworld® Ruby
If you have: HawaiianMiles Pualani Platinum -> Mileage Plan status received: Alaska Mileage Plan MVP Gold -> oneworld® Alliance status received: oneworld® Sapphire

Members with Alaska Mileage Plan and HawaiianMiles elite-qualifying miles will be matched to the following status:
If your combined EQM balance reaches: 20,000 EQMs -> Alaska Mileage Plan status received: MVP -> oneworld® Alliance status received: oneworld® Ruby
If your combined EQM balance reaches: 40,000 EQMs -> Alaska Mileage Plan status received: MVP Gold -> oneworld® Alliance status received: oneworld® Sapphire
If your combined EQM balance reaches: 75,000 EQMs -> Alaska Mileage Plan status received: MVP Gold 75k -> oneworld® Alliance status received: oneworld® Emerald
If your combined EQM balance reaches: 100,000 EQMs -> Alaska Mileage Plan status received: MVP Gold 100k -> oneworld® Alliance status received: oneworld® Emerald
Guests can now earn miles towards their respective loyalty programs – either HawaiianMiles or Mileage Plan – whether they’re flying Hawaiian or Alaska, provided that their frequent flyer number is entered into the reservation. These miles also count toward elite status in both programs.
Beginning later this Spring, Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard® card members will receive two free checked bags when using their card to book Alaska Airlines-operated flights. Terms apply.

Mileage Plan members can redeem miles on both Alaska and Hawaiian in all classes of service (subject to availability) for even greater flexibility and value. HawaiianMiles members can take advantage of redeeming awards that include both Alaska and Hawaiian flights by transferring their HawaiianMiles to Mileage Plan.
Link your accounts, and if applicable, receive a status match on Alaska.
