Boucheron is expanding its footprint in the UAE through a new joint venture with Al Tayer Insignia, set to take over management of its local outlets this December.
Boucheron is strengthening its presence in the United Arab Emirates. The Kering-owned jewelry company has signed an agreement with local operator Al Tayer Insignia to create a joint venture, which will allow the group to manage Boucheron outlets in the country starting this December.
The jewelry company was celebrating its two decades of operating in the region through franchises this year. Boucheron opened its first outlet at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai in 2005. Years later, in 2013, another outlet followed in Abu Dhabi, and in 2017 they opened at The Dubai Mall. Today, Boucheron has a network of more than 90 stores worldwide.
Based in the United Arab Emirates, Al Tayer was founded in 1979 and operates in retail through the Al Tayer Insignia division, which is present in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman with around 200 stores. The company, exclusive licensee of Harvey Nichols in the UAE and Bloomingdale’s in the UAE and Kuwait, is headed by Khalid Al Tayer, who is also CEO of the ecommerce platform Ounass.
Just this week, Kim Kardashian-founded intimate apparel brand Skims opened its first flagship store in the Mall of Emirates Dubai in the Middle East, also under Al Tayer Insignia.
In the third quarter of 2025, the Kering group’s jewelry division posted double-digit revenue growth. Boucheron’s development in the United States and the Asia-Pacific region was one of the highlights for the company. Kering also announced the forthcoming progressive acquisition of Italian jewelry manufacturer Raselli Franco Group.
