An Extension of the ‘Entaille’ Line into High Jewelry

Twelve years after its launch in the jewelry market, the French brand co-founded by Pauline Laigneau and Charif Debs is unveiling its very first piece of High Jewelry these days. This is a sculptural creation with a contemporary feel, inspired by one of the brand’s recent collections.
With its solar inspiration and play of light, the ‘Entaille’ pendant, Gemmyo’s first High Jewelry creation, might remind you of something. Rightly so, as this jewel is designed to borrow the major design markers from the brand’s namesake jewelry collection launched just two years ago.

For its first steps into the world of exceptional jewelry, Gemmyo has chosen to capitalize on these minimalist curves with Art Deco accents, enhanced here by a 2.53-carat Namibian indigolite tourmaline. The lagoon-like reflections of this transparent gemstone top a circular yellow gold pendant adorned with the highly identifiable ‘Rayon’ motif, which surrounds a ring of 440 diamonds hand-set using the so-called ‘snow setting’ technique.

A ‘Smart Luxury’ Strategy

With this Made in France creation, which required approximately 80 hours of work, Gemmyo aims to continue its so-called ‘smart luxury’ strategy.

“A vision of luxury combining authenticity, local craftsmanship, and fair prices,”

explained Pauline Laigneau, co-founder of the brand, recently in an interview with the Journal du Luxe.
According to a study by Business Research Insight, the High Jewelry market was valued at just over $167 billion last year and could exceed $329 billion by 2033.
