Editor’s Note
This year’s Geneva watch week defied economic headwinds to achieve record attendance, demonstrating the industry’s resilience and creative vitality.
The Geneva watch week concludes with a massive turnout. According to seasoned visitors, there has never been such a crowd in the halls of Watches and Wonders on closing day. This edition leaves the impression that the industry managed to present itself in the best possible light, showcasing the full extent of its creativity and diversity. This is no small feat given the tense economic context the sector has faced for over a year, especially after the wave of panic triggered by Donald Trump right in the middle of the festivities.
Geneva held its ground. With Palexpo as the epicenter, watchmaking’s presence was felt throughout the city. The Time to Watches salon was held at the Villa Sarasin, just a two-minute walk away. It took only a few minutes by train to reach the city center, where hotels, boutiques, and workshops were overflowing with watchmakers. In total, nearly 200 brands presented themselves to the public. This density reminded many visitors of the former Baselworld.
