Skulpturen, Schmuck und mehr: Der Kunsthandwerkermarkt in Glinde erstreckt sich im Rathaus über fünf Etagen und im Marcellin-Verbe-Haus über drei Etagen.
A Market Spanning Floors

The arts and crafts market “Glinde kreativ” takes place in the town hall and the Marcellin-Verbe-Haus at Glinde Market as the cold season begins. On October 25 and 26, visitors can view and purchase exceptional arts and crafts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The offerings include ceramics for home and garden, iron and woodwork. There are turned and carved items ranging from fine to rustic, treasure chests made of precious wood, letter openers and buttons—everything from straightforwardly practical to artistically decorative, according to the organizers.

Artists Present Paintings

Painting is also available to admire at the Glinde arts and crafts market. Painters and artists from the region present everything from pencil drawings to oil paintings, from watercolors to 3D art. Some of the artists also paint commissioned motifs or portraits.

Jewelry and Clothing

Another focus is jewelry in all variations. In addition to gold and silver jewelry, there is also jewelry made of glass and gemstones and from repurposed silverware. Jewelry pieces made of felt and leather can be found as well as exhibits made of wood, clay, or tin. Besides jewelry, there is also a large selection of clothing, whether silk scarves or sweaters made of alpaca wool.

There is also a selection for families and children, such as handmade children’s clothing, bags, backpacks, as well as teddy bears, dolls, and children’s books.

New and Returning Exhibitors

Among the total of around 90 exhibitors, there are also new faces. Twenty of them have never or not for a long time been present at the arts and crafts market in Glinde, according to the organizers.

Traditionally, a competition for the most beautiful booth will be held again. A multi-member jury selects its favorite and awards a prize.

Entertainment and Catering

Guests will also be entertained with a music and cultural program in the festival hall of the Marcellin-Verbe-Haus, with several performances by the Glinde Music School. In the festival hall, fair visitors can also enjoy coffee and cake, warm meals, and cold drinks as usual. The catering is provided by the Restaurant Heimathafen Glinde.

Admission for “Glinde Kreativ” costs three euros. Children up to the age of 14 accompanied by adults do not pay admission.
