Recently, Asia’s largest watch and clock fair, the “Hong Kong International Watch & Clock Fair,” was successfully held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Furthermore, JD.com released the “2025 JD.com Watch Consumption Trends Report” on-site, pointing out that fashion watches for men and women, functional watches, and thematic watches have become the three core consumption tracks for luxury watches. JD.com sales data shows that women’s luxury watches exhibit trends of quality enhancement, accessorization, and diversification, with searches for “New Chinese Style” watches increasing by 629% year-on-year. Male consumers pay more attention to classic mechanical complications, minimalist design, and gold watch styles. Among functional watches, children’s and student watches with features like water resistance and anti-loss functions are gaining parental attention, while sports outdoor watches are developing towards long battery life, professional monitoring, and satellite positioning. Additionally, searches for gift-style luxury watches doubled during holiday periods, and vintage luxury watches are also popular among younger groups.

Announcement of Merchant Recruitment Policies

At the Hong Kong International Watch & Clock Fair, JD.com simultaneously announced its 2025 annual watch category merchant recruitment strategy, introducing the “Three-Step Method for New Merchants” strategy. New watch category merchants meeting the entry requirements can enjoy 0-yuan trial shipping and up to 6 months of 0-commission policy. Moreover, JD.com will provide new watch merchants with multiple heavyweight resources such as advertising subsidies, traffic support, and marketing activities, and continuously assist merchants in optimizing operations through data tools and training.
