Although the schedule for the February auction was changed, it still attracted many visitors and lots.
From February, the yen appreciated, and the market seemed to calm down somewhat. However, one-of-a-kind items and retail-oriented merchandise continued to see prominent high-price winning bids. While the future of exchange rates and social conditions remains undeniably uncertain, regarding the watch market, robust sales by retailers appear to be driving the market. Additionally, the period for new model announcements is approaching. There is a desire to somehow secure desired merchandise before market movements caused by discontinuations or new model announcements. We look forward to continued high numbers of lots and participants next month as well.
