Jinju City announced on the 13th that the ‘Jinju City Overseas Market Development Team’, led by Mayor Cho Kyu-il, has visited Indonesia following Japan to engage in export support through exchanges and cooperation in various fields.
The development team, having held a ‘Jinju City Export Companies Overseas Strategy Briefing’ in Fukuoka, Japan on the 10th and 11th, visited Indonesia on the 12th and 13th to conduct cultural content exchanges, digital education cooperation, and export support activities.

On the 12th, the team visited the Korean Cultural Center in Indonesia to discuss ways to link Jinju’s traditional culture, art, and craft content with Hallyu-based cultural projects in Indonesia, agreeing to expand continuous cultural cooperation.
Jinju City announced that, in line with the Indonesian Ministry of Education’s digital education policy, a formal contract was signed to introduce the digital authoring tool (Namo Oseo) from Jinju-based company AraSoft for use by 3 million teachers.
The team also visited the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia, exchanging opinions with Deputy Chief of Mission Park Soo-deok on ‘supporting Jinju export companies’ entry into the Indonesian market’ and ‘overseas utilization of cultural content industries’.

On the 13th, the team, including Mayor Cho Kyu-il, held a meeting with Indonesian trendsetting companies. They listened to the difficulties in the local business environment faced by Gyeongsangnam-do/Jinju native entrepreneurs and associations, including Chairman Lee Soon-hyung of the Gyeongsangnam-do Residents Association in Indonesia, and discussed cooperation measures at the Jinju City level.
Furthermore, the team visited the Tangerang City Hall and signed a cooperation agreement with Mayor Sakrudin to foster collaboration between the two cities. Tangerang is a major industrial and educational hub near the capital Jakarta, known for active inter-local government exchanges and international cooperation within Indonesia.

The development team plans to visit Australia next.
