Call for Entries and Rules

The National Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum will host the gala on October 29th, celebrating the artistic and innovative spirit that prevails in the luxury industry through iconic brands and the most exceptional pieces.

The Awards

The Magazine La Vanguardia Watch and Jewelry Awards, created in October 2022 to pay tribute to the best pieces of high watchmaking and jewelry of the year, reach their fourth edition. Born to be an exclusive meeting for the watchmaking and jewelry sector with the aim of becoming a benchmark in the luxury accessories territory, they consist of 2 sections: High Watchmaking and High Jewelry. All categories are governed by these rules (hereinafter, also referred to as Legal Bases).

The artistic and innovative spirit that prevails in the luxury industry through iconic brands that seek to transcend, push boundaries, and enrich the sector with their most exceptional pieces will award seven Magazine Awards in the High Watchmaking category and eight in the Jewelry category.

Golden Hand, Iconic Watch, Tradition and Avant-Garde, Jewel Watch, Innovation, Diving Watch, and Sustainable Commitment are the awards related to the High Watchmaking section, while in Jewelry, awards will be given in the categories of International Collection, National Collection, Iconic Jewel, Art in Jewelry, Unique Jewel, Sustainable Jewelry, Commitment to Tradition, and Artisan Crafts.

Eligibility and Participation

Applications will be accepted until July 31st.

Brands and/or products that have been launched on the market, commemorated, or celebrated an anniversary, both in Spain and internationally, are eligible for these awards. Participation in the fourth edition of the Magazine Watch and Jewelry Awards is open to legally constituted entities and companies involved in the creation or commercialization of jewelry and watches, authorized to carry out their functions. It is also open to independent watch and jewelry creators or designers and/or professionals of recognized prestige in the sector.

Jury and Decision Process

A jury composed of several members will be formed. Once constituted, the jury will elect its president to ensure the application of the rules of the internal regulations approved by the management of Magazine La Vanguardia.

The jury will be composed of representatives and experts from the sector and journalistic representatives of Grupo Godó.

Decisions will be made by majority vote. Only in the event of a tie, the president’s vote will be decisive to resolve any issue. Furthermore, the president may propose, during the deliberations, any type of measure that helps in the fairest application and interpretation of these regulations.

Applications for the Magazine Watch and Jewelry Awards will be accepted from June 15th, the opening date for registrations, until July 31st, 2025, the date on which the admission period will be definitively closed. The applications will be evaluated by a jury formed by five members, comprising representatives and experts from the sector and journalistic representatives of Grupo Godó.

Once again, the award ceremony, which seeks to exalt the awarded pieces and collections as true masterpieces, wearable art with history, crafted with the most excellent materials to transcend time and be preserved from generation to generation, will take place in October at the Thyssen Museum in Madrid.
