This holiday season, the city of Mulhouse offers a free, immersive spectacle. “The Legend of the Rhine Pearls” uses poetic video mapping to illuminate local traditions, transforming the facade of the Société Industrielle de Mulhouse into a luminous nightly tale for all ages.
This year again, the magic of Christmas in Mulhouse takes on a new dimension with the sound and light show “The Legend of the Rhine Pearls,” a poetic mapping that immerses young and old in the heart of Rhenish traditions. An immersive, free, and accessible experience for all, transforming the night into a luminous tale. To be discovered on the facade of the SIM (Société Industrielle de Mulhouse) every evening.
Projected onto the walls of an iconic building, that of the Société Industrielle de Mulhouse (SIM, at Square de la Bourse), this twelve-minute mapping presents a brand new story for the 2025 edition. A modern interpretation of the legend of the Rhine Pearls, where lights, music, and graphic animations blend to tell a fairy tale inspired by Rhenish folklore.
Spectators are invited to follow a visual journey between mythical river, fantastic creatures, and protective spirits of the Rhine, in a gentle and enchanting atmosphere that fits perfectly with the spirit of Advent.
The sound & light show is projected in Mulhouse every evening from November 21 to December 27, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
It is broadcast continuously, with a new projection every 15 minutes, allowing everyone to enjoy it regardless of their schedule.
Accessible, poetic, and immersive, it shines a light on local heritage while perpetuating the legacy of Rhenish tales.
