Executive Appointment

The CEO of Bulgari, Jean-Christophe Babin, will take over the leadership of LVMH’s watch division, replacing Frédéric Arnault, who is moving to Loro Piana, the group announced on Friday.

“Stéphane Bianchi, Deputy CEO of the LVMH group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean-Christophe Babin to the position of CEO of the watch division, effective April 1, 2025,” wrote the world’s number one luxury group in a statement.

Jean-Christophe Babin will retain his duties within the Italian jewelry house Bulgari, based in Neuchâtel and owned by LVMH, which he has led since 2013. He was previously the CEO of the watchmaker Tag Heuer, also within the group’s portfolio.

Leadership Transition

He replaces Frédéric Arnault, one of the five children of French billionaire Bernard Arnault, at the helm of this watch division, which was created in early 2024 and brings together the brands Hublot, TAG Heuer, and Zenith. Frédéric Arnault was appointed CEO of the Italian brand Loro Piana in mid-March.

Strategic Mandate
Jean-Christophe Babin’s roadmap is “the sustainable and ambitious growth of the watch division,” following the “profound transformation” initiated by Frédéric Arnault, “including the establishment of operational synergies between the group’s watchmaking houses, and in-depth work on the positioning and challenges of each of them,” explained Stéphane Bianchi in the LVMH statement.
