Markets in Rajasthan were bustling on the occasion of Dhanteras. From jewelry markets to car, bike, and TV-refrigerator showrooms, people started arriving for shopping from the morning. This year in Jaipur, along with silver coins, 20-gram silver idols of Lakshmi-Ganesha were also in demand.
There was hustle and bustle in the markets of districts including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Alwar, Ajmer, and Udaipur. The impact of the GST rate cut on cars, bikes, and electronic goods was also visible. There was heavy buying of two-wheelers and four-wheelers. At the Moti Dungri Temple in Jaipur, about 3000 cars and bikes arrived for worship.

Meanwhile, markets across the state were decorated with colorful lights in the evening, attracting large numbers of people to see them. People who came with family and friends were seen taking photos and selfies with their mobiles.
In Tonk city, decorations with lights have been done from Bada Kuan to Ghantaghar. The paths decorated with colorful lights look extremely beautiful.
In Jodhpur, attractive decorations have been made on Sardarpura C Road. A large number of people are arriving to see the decorations.
In Jaipur, on the occasion of Dhanteras, there was a crowd throughout the day in the markets located in the walled city (Prakota). There was no place to even set foot. In the evening, there was a traffic jam in the walled area.
Alwar’s utensil market is buzzing. Customers had started arriving since morning.
In Jaipur, there is more crowd in the markets in the evening compared to the morning. By evening, there is no place to even set foot on the road of Khazanewalon.

In Sikar’s Jat Bazaar, a crowd of people is thronging to buy earthen lamps and posters of gods. There is also a huge crowd at utensil shops.

In Alwar, sales of silver fish and elephant figurines are also happening briskly.
