The LVMH-owned jewelry company is renewing its executive team with the promotion of Laura Burdese, who succeeds Jean-Christophe Babin in the role. Babin will maintain his ties with the firm, which was acquired by the French group in 2011.

Executive Transition

Changes at the top of Bulgari. The jewelry firm, owned by LVMH, has announced a reshuffle of its first line of management with the appointment of Laura Burdese as Chief Executive Officer. The executive will take up the position on the upcoming June 1st, succeeding Jean-Christophe Babin.
The current CEO of Bulgari will remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bulgari, also as the head of the company’s hotel division and President of the Bulgari Foundation.

Burdese’s Career Path

Burdese joined LVMH in 2016 as President and CEO of Acqua di Parma and in 2022 made the leap to Bulgari as Vice President of Marketing and Communication.

Reporting Structure and Company Background

Both Babin and Burdese will report to Stéphane Bianchi, CEO of LVMH and CEO of LVMH’s Watches and Jewelry division.
Bulgari has been part of LVMH since 2011.

Headquartered in Rome, Bulgari was founded in 1884 and currently has more than 320 stores around the world, six production centers, and more than 6,000 employees.

Financial Performance

The Watches and Jewelry division of LVMH, of which Bulgari is a part, closed the first nine months of the fiscal year with a turnover of 7.409 billion euros,

“which represented a 2% decline compared to the same period the previous year.”

The group as a whole ended the period with revenues of 58.090 billion euros, down 4%.
