This article details a Spanish government initiative to auction assets seized from drug traffickers, with proceeds funding addiction prevention and anti-trafficking programs.

The Ministry of Health, through the Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs (DGPNSD), has launched the auction of more than 148 lots integrated into three different events featuring items seized from drug trafficking. According to reports, the funds raised will be directed towards various initiatives aimed at countering damages linked to drug addiction and drug trafficking.
The operation is conducted through the online platform Escrapalia, which offers up to 23 lots of high jewelry, 33 with exclusive watches, and 92 of jewelry and costume jewelry items. Interested parties can find starting prices ranging from €50 to €150. Although some listings include a varied group of objects, the organization has decided to separate the higher-value items into individual lots.
The auction, which began on November 14, will remain open until December 4.
To participate, buyers must review the terms and conditions available for each lot.
Anyone wishing to participate in the auction must make a deposit to guarantee the seriousness and proper conduct of the process. This deposit is fully refunded once the auction ends if the participant is not the winning bidder. Within the collection of gold and costume jewelry pieces, observed prices range from €10 to €150 depending on their quality or quantity.
However, in the collection of gold and precious stone pieces, there are some interesting items that have not yet attracted strong bids. Some of these items include a rectangular link chain with unmarked 18K gold, a pack of 9 men’s rings and an 18K bracelet, an interwoven mesh bracelet with 18K zodiac signs, or an 18K white gold riviere necklace with round brilliant natural diamonds. All of these continue with a starting price of €150.
On the other hand, the collection of luxury watches has been more successful among bidders, as some treasures can be seen among them. Notable items in this category include: a Rolex Daytona rose gold and rubber watch with a bid of €3,602, a steel Rolex Submariner with a green ceramic bezel (€1,601), an identical one but with a dial (€1,601), and a Rolex Datejust with a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond indices (€1,751).
Escrapalia is an online auction platform that allows individuals and companies to acquire goods from various categories, including jewelry, vehicles, machinery, and more. To participate in any of its auctions, it is necessary to register through a form. Once you have an account, you can browse all active listings.
The page for each lot shows detailed information, photos, videos, updated bidding status, closing date, and specific auction conditions. Furthermore, it is possible to inspect the goods before the auction by requesting a visit through the website or contacting the corresponding manager. Thus, there are two bidding modes: manual, where offers are increased individually, and automatic, where the system increases bids up to the maximum limit set by the user.
Likewise, anyone interested must note that taxes and commissions appear on each lot, and the final price can be calculated before bidding. If the user wins, they receive a payment order and have three days to pay by card or transfer. Upon completion of payment, Escrapalia confirms the withdrawal of the item and provides all necessary documentation from the user’s profile.
