Editor’s Note
This article previews New Jewelry TOKYO 2025, Japan’s premier designer jewelry event. Scheduled for late November at Tokyo’s Spiral venue, the 16th edition will feature around 130 exhibitors under the theme “See, Buy, Make, Experience,” continuing its role as a key industry showcase.

From November 28 (Friday) to November 30 (Sunday), 2025, Japan’s largest designer jewelry event, “New Jewelry TOKYO 2025,” will be held at Spiral in Aoyama.
Now in its 16th year since its inception in 2010, the event has grown into a festival where one can discover the “now” of the jewelry industry, attracting over 10,000 visitors over three days in recent years. Under the concept of “See, Buy, Make, Experience,” approximately 130 jewelry brands, creators, and galleries will gather this year. It’s a valuable opportunity to interact directly with highly creative designers.
The venue will feature designers full of individuality and creativity. A diverse array of jewelry, from craft pieces showcasing traditional techniques to refined modern works and new talents who will shape the future, will be gathered in one place. The event will focus on six major keywords—color stones, metal craft, diamonds, contemporary, etc.—introducing unique jewelry brands specializing in each. Of course, visitors can also make purchases on-site.

In addition to shopping, the event offers rich content that allows visitors to delve into the depth of jewelry. The perennially popular “Gemstone Polishing Workshop,” led by traveling gem merchant “bororo” and traditional craftsman Takuma Gem Carving, offers an experience from selecting rough stones to polishing them. Furthermore, galleries representing up-and-coming artists and unique works by members of the Japan Jewelry Designer Association (JJDA) will also be exhibited and sold.
Special projects will also enrich the event. For the “Borneo Project,” aimed at protecting the disappearing tropical rainforests and biodiversity of Borneo, eight supporting brands will create and sell works inspired by Borneo’s flora and fauna. Additionally, the “Best Jewelry Prize 2025,” aimed at fostering further talent development, will be announced. Podcaster Teppei Fujita will host an Instagram Live broadcast to convey the excitement of the venue and the appeal of the brands in real-time. (Scheduled for November 28)
Food and drinks to enjoy between shopping sessions are also plentiful. A food and drink counter produced by “MITOSAYA,” food from modern Asian dining “Night Market,” and original cocktails & mocktails by “CAN-PANY” will provide delightful “tasty moments” to satisfy visitors during their shopping breaks.
