This article explores how technological innovation is helping the jewelry industry adapt to rising costs and sustainability demands, as showcased at the upcoming T.Gold trade fair.

Rising gold prices, increasing cost pressures, and higher sustainability requirements are fundamentally changing jewelry production. The T.Gold trade fair, taking place from January 16 to 20, 2026, parallel to Vicenzaoro, demonstrates how modern technologies make these challenges manageable for both industry and craft.
Although the price of gold has risen significantly in recent years, many manufacturers are succeeding in limiting the impact on production. This is made possible by technological innovations such as micro-casting, additive manufacturing, electroplating, precious metal recovery, and digital production processes. These methods help optimize material usage, reduce waste, and simultaneously enable more precise production. This is precisely where T.Gold comes in. As a specialized B2B trade fair by the Italian Exhibition Group, it represents the technological segment of the jewelry value chain and complements Vicenzaoro by offering a look behind the scenes of production.

Approximately 170 companies from 16 countries will present themselves at T.Gold 2026 in Hall 9 of the Vicenza exhibition grounds. About 40 percent of the exhibitors come from abroad, including providers from Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, India, and the USA. The fair covers all relevant technology areas, from alloy processing and prototyping to digital manufacturing, laser welding, refining, and workshop equipment. Particular focus is placed on additive manufacturing, 3D printing, binder jetting, and automated production solutions. These technologies enable smaller batch sizes, shorten development times, and create new possibilities for personalized jewelry production.

A unique feature of T.Gold is its practical relevance. As the only trade fair in the industry, it offers the opportunity to experience machines and equipment live in operation. For jewelers and specialist retailers with their own workshops as well as for industrial producers, this creates direct access to technologies that combine efficiency and sustainability.

Looking ahead to the coming years, the Italian Exhibition Group is further expanding its technology program. From 2026, Vicenza will become a permanent meeting point for jewelry technology thanks to new hall capacities. In addition to T.Gold, further specialized formats such as the Jewellery Technology Forum and the Vicenza Symposium are planned to deepen knowledge transfer between technology providers, producers, and the trade.
